Shortcut Keys |
Shortcut keys enable you to navigate in the data displayed in your application window by using the keyboard instead of the mouse and navigation buttons. The default shortcut keys and their respective buttons are listed here:
Ctrl+Home First - displays the first record in the dataset
Ctrl+Alt +Left Previous increment – goes back a number of records
Ctrl+Left Previous – displays the previous record
Ctrl+Right Next – displays the next record
Ctrl+Alt +Right Next increment goes forward for a number of records
Ctrl+End Last – displays the last record in the dataset
Ctrl+Alt+NumPad1 First user button function
Ctrl+Alt+NumPad2 Second user button function
In your application different shortcut keys may be assigned to the navigation buttons, refer to your application documentation for the precise details.
See the Buttons help page for a detailed description of the button action.
If a button is disabled, the corresponding shortcut key is also disabled, so that pressing a shortcut key does result in any action.
You can see the current shortcut keys in the tool tips of the navigation bar buttons and the context menu items. They are enclosed with square brackets for example: [Ctrl+Home].
Note that some of the shortcut keys discussed on this page may not be available to you because your application does not use them.
