Buttons |
The following buttons can be used to navigate in the data
(dataset table to be precise) displayed in your application page:
|<<
First - displays the first record in the dataset (goes to the first record)
<<
Previous increment – goes back the number of records specified by the
increment (see below)
<
Previous – displays the previous record (goes back one record)
>
Next – displays the next record (goes one record forward)
>>
Next increment - goes forward for the number of records specified by the
increment (see below)
>>|
Last – displays the last record in the dataset (goes to the last record)
The following User
buttons can be activated by the developer. They have a function assigned to by
your application developer so we cannot indicate what their function is. Refer
to the tool tips or the application documentation to see which function they
have.
User button 1 – is the first of two user buttons
User button 2 – is the second of two user buttons
Click once on a navigation bar button with the left mouse
button to perform the button action. If the feature is enabled, you can
activate the tool tip by holding the cursor over a button for a short time. You
can also perform the button action with the keyboard in the customary way
(using TAB to tab through the controls to the navigation button and then
pressing ENTER).
If the text of a button is gray instead of black, the button
is disabled and you cannot invoke the button action. For example this may be
the case with the “First” button when the first record of the data is
displayed. The “First” button is enabled when you are on any other record in
the data.
Increment lets you go forward or backward a specified
number of records. The increment can be a predefined number of records or a
certain percentage of the total number of records. Default is 10% of the number
of records with a minimum of 2. If enabled, you can define your own increment
in the Context Menu.
If record cycling is enabled, you can cycle from the
last record to the first one with the “Next” button and vice versa to the last
record with the “Previous” button.
If enabled, you can use Shortcut
Keys to perform button action or you can do the same using the Context Menu.
If the display textbox is visible and entry enabled you can
also navigate the data by entering the target record number or navigation
commands in the text area of the Textbox
Display.
Note that some of the buttons
and features discussed on this page may not be available to you because your
application does not enable them. Also note that the text on the button face
may be different than what is described on this page.
